This is the second remix package from The ‘Trip To LA’ album. We reached out once again to our extended musical family in South Africa.

Limpopo based deep house producer LELANGA has had some low-key but gorgeous releases on quality labels such as Peng, DNH and Just Move Records with his signature pitched down, soulful sound. For his ‘Sweet Mix’ of “You Want Me Back” he has toned it down even further, taking us into the sub-aquatic chill zone of a classic set by the late great Balearic DJ José Padilla, during his heyday at the Café del Mar. Gossamer light shuffling hats and the subdued acid line drive the song gently through the waves, expressive guitar picking and washed out keys the bed for singer Irantzu’s pleading vocals.

Pure bliss from start to finish.
